Janet Carns Obituary
We announce the death of Janet Carns of Glen Hope, Pennsylvania, who passed away on October 10, 2026, at the age of 90. Janet will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Irvin Baer and Myrtle Baer (McGarvey); her husband James E. Carns; her children, Edward Carns and Janice Guiher; her grandson Ricky Carns; and her siblings, Mabel Dillen, William Baer, Phyllis Heverly, Gladys Ingram and Thelma Francisco.
She is survived by: her children, James Carns (Lois) of Grampian and Rena Haney (Randy) of Coalport; her children-in-law, Terry Carns of Houtzdale and Allen Guiher of Grampian; her grandchildren, Edward Carns (BJ), Jason Carns (Bonnie), Frank Carns (Rachael), Jeffrey Carns (Jaimie), Jeremy Carns (Chantelle), James Carns, Jr. (Amber), Daniel Carns (Courtney), Janea Shreckengost (Zach), Matthew Haney and James Haney; her great grandchildren, Zane Carns (Bryanna), Kendra Clark (Garrett), Branyelle Mielnik (Nick), Janalanna Carns, Vincent Carns, Olivia Carns, Mason Carns, Hayden Carns, Noelle Carns, Dominic Carns, Isabella Carns, Kelsey Carns, Cole Haney, Jaxon Haney and Adriana Schreckengost; and her great great grandchildren, Brantley Mielnick and Westin Beers. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 14th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Thursday, October 15th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Kruise-Spewock Funeral & Cremation Services (254 Lynn St, Madera, PA 16661-9330). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 15th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
