Julia Skipp Obituary

Julia A. Skipp, of Glen Mills, PA, died unexpectedly on July 23, 2022, from a massive heart attack. Thankfully for her, she passed peacefully in her sleep, with her faithful dog Coco by her side. She had just recently celebrated her 60th birthday. The family is deeply saddened and shocked by her sudden death.

Julia Skipp was born on July 13, 1962, and lived in the Delaware County, PA area for most of her life, attending high school in Havertown, business school in Springfield, and last employed by West Chester University in an administrative role. Due to an injury suffered during a routine operation, she was left unable to work.

She was the faithful and amazing wife, and best friend of Stephen F. Skipp, for nearly 30 years. She helped to guide him through life's challenges, including a near fatal heart attack, and most recently a leukemia diagnosis. She made sure that he was being treated and cared for, again putting others ahead of herself. Julia and Stephen were inseparable, and often said they were "Tied at the hip". They were often seen together at Thornbury Park, along with their dogs Raven and Coco.

Julia Skipp was a stay-at-home mom for much of her adult life, raising two wonderful and successful children. Ryan Eric Skipp, 23 and Sara Anne Skipp, 26, were the love of her life, and her main goal was to provide a loving and nurturing life for them. For a few years, she was lucky enough to be a paraprofessional at Chadds Ford Elementary School, where she was able to see her son Ryan throughout the workday. She was looking forward to seeing her future daughter in law, Jordan Bianchi, welcomed into the family.

Julia Skipp is survived by her husband, Stephen, her children, Ryan and Sara, a brother, John, two dogs, Raven and Coco, and an abundance of friends, doctors, and acquaintances. We will miss her more than words can say. Her smile enveloped you, if you were lucky enough to know her. The only thing more beautiful than her smile, was her soul. A truly loving, caring, and giving person, someone who wanted peace and happiness for all. She believed in God, Heaven, and that all souls were created equally. Nobody deserves a spot in Heaven, more than Julia.

Services are still being planned at this time, but it will be a small family gathering for a celebration of her life.

Contributions in memory of Julia Skipp can be made to the American Heart Association, the American Cancer Society, or the ASPCA.
