With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Mary Jane McGroarty of Glen Mills, Pennsylvania, born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward Flood and Sarah Flood (McReynolds); her husband William J. McGroarty; her siblings, Edward, Michael, Francis, Hugh, James Flood and Peggy Lutz; and her son-in-law Steve Brookes.

She is survived by: her children, Peggy Rankin (Bob), Bill (Helen), Michael (Liz), Chuck (Terry) and Kevin McGroarty (Tina); and her siblings, Daniel Flood and Sally Lydon. She is also survived by 20 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren.

“I was about 5 years old when I met Mrs. McGroarty through her son Michael. Later she became my Cub Scout Den Mother. I still have fond memories of the Cub Scout Meetings at her home. I can also picture in my mind's eye her children, Peggy, Bill, Michael, Chuck, and Kevin as they were more than 50 years ago though I haven't seen any of them, other than Michael, in decades. What I do remember is that like their Mother and Father they are good people, and I will keep them all in my prayers.”
