He was predeceased by : his parents, Eugene DeForno and Louise E. DeSimone DeForno; and his brother Allan DeForno. He is survived by : his wife Stephanie L. Sands DeForno; his sons, Richard E. and Patrick E. DeForno; his stepchildren, Elizabeth P. and Ross A. Folmar; and his sister Linda L. Santa Maria (late Phillip).
