He was predeceased by: his wife Helen Simpson; and his brothers, Thomas Simpson and John Simpson. He is survived by: his children, Michele Simpson (Ron), Carol Simpson Friel, Tricia A Simpson-Gieder, Robert Gieder, Andrew Gieder and Amela. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
