It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Maureen A. Hilferty of Glenolden, Pennsylvania, who passed away on November 2, 2025, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, John Moore and Audrey Moore (Gamet); her husband Edward Hilferty, Sr.; her daughter Maureen Shaffer; her children-in-law, Larry Davis, Nick Riggio, Martha Hilferty and Sandy Hilferty; and her sister Bette Hartley.
She is survived by: her children, Alan Hilferty, Lynn Davis, Edward Hilferty, Michael Hilferty, Andrew Hilferty, Maryanne Riggio and Joseph Hilferty (Ann); her son-in-law Joseph Shaffer; her grandchildren, Cathy, Marie, Michelle, Michael, Phillip, Adam, Robert and Joey; and her great grandchildren, Brennan, Savannah and Autumn.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 6th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the St. Gabriel Roman Catholic Church (233 Mohawk Ave, Norwood, PA 19074). A Mass will be held on Thursday, November 6th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
