He was loved and cherished by many people including : his children, Christine McLarnon (Richard), Peter A and Michael J Messina; his grandchildren, Michael R, Molly K McLarnon, Brian Conley and Ryan Messina (Sparky); his sisters, Tina Messina Kelly and Rita Messina; his parents, Jenny Messina and Samuel Messina; and his brothers, Samuel, Joseph and James.

Visitation was held on Monday, April 22nd 2024 from 9:30 AM to 10:15 AM at the St. George Church (22 E Cooke Ave, Glenolden, PA 19036). A funeral Mass was held on Monday, April 22nd 2024 at 10:30 AM at the St George Roman Catholic Church (22 E Cooke Ave, Glenolden, PA 19036). A burial was held on Monday, April 22nd 2024 at the Ss Peter & Paul Cemetery (1600 Sproul Rd, Springfield, PA 19064).
