Jacqueline Long Sawa Obituary
We are sad to announce that on December 6, 2025, at the age of 93, Jacqueline Long Sawa of Glenshaw, Pennsylvania passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though her name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Jacqueline leaves upon the hearts of her loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of her spirit and the richness of her legacy.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Earl Louis Long and Anna Mary Klein Long; her husband Stanley W. Sawa; and her sister June Margaret Long Kent. She is survived by: her son James Patrick Sawa (Anne) of Glenshaw; and her granddaughter Abigail Sawa (Jason) of Pittsburgh. She is also survived by many nephews and nieces.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, December 10th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St. Peter Roman Catholic Church (127 Franklin St, Butler, PA 16001).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to the Butler Area Public Library, 218 N. McKean St., Butler, PA 16001, in memory of Jacqueline and her love for reading.
