She was predeceased by : her son Mark Mackaness; her parents, Herman Zinsser and Margaret Zinsser; and her brothers, Walter Zinsser (Anne) and Lawrence Zinsser (Adeline).

She is survived by : her husband Fred J. Mackaness; her daughters, Nancy Zummo and Amy Kopec (John); her grandchildren, Nicole, Jeffrey, Matthew, Jennifer, Nicholas, Benjamin, Erica, Colin, Noah and Naiya; and her great grandchild Sienna.
