He is survived by: his son Wayne Van Newkirk (Trina); his daughter-in-law Linda Van Newkirk (Becker); his grandchildren, Linsey, Jessica O'Mara (Van Newkirk), Claire, Hanna, Wayne and Cary; and his nephew Edward Fletcher (Robyn).
