She was predeceased by: her parents, Alva "Dean" Rathbun and Doris Rathbun (Morgan); and her brothers, Leon, Robert and Ralph Rathbun.
She is survived by: her husband Dean Smiley; her sons, Michael Smiley, Robert Smiley (Jennifer) and William Smiley (Starr); her grandchildren, Amber Yates, Michael Smiley Jr., Noah Smiley, Kinsley Smiley, Colin Kilborn and Heather Smiley; her stepgrandchildren, Adam, Matt, Ryan, Josh, Marissa, Russell and Kimberly; her sister Joyce Knuutila; and her sisters-in-law, Donna Rathbun, Shirely Rathbun, Dawn Rathbun and Donna Shepard. She is also survived by 15 great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
