He was predeceased by: his parents, John J. Sr. Matijevic and Catherine Matijevic (Kottelich); his wife Charlene Matijevic (Rogan); his brother Paul Matijevic; and his grandmothers, Barbara Kottelich and Anna Matijevic.
He is survived by: his sons, John W. "Butch" Matijevic (Krista) of Jeannette, Joe A. Matijevic of Grapeville and Jason M. Matijevic (Kelly) of Greensburg; his sister Patricia Matijevic; his grandchildren, Eric (Stacy), Jenna (Logan), Nathanael (Hannah), Noah (Brielle), Micha, Isabella (Jackson) and Sydney; and his great grandchildren, Natalia, Brooklyn, Paisley, Tatum and Miles. He is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 9th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM and from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Mason-Gelder Funeral Home, Inc. (201 N 1st St, Jeannette, PA 15644). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, November 9th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to St. Jude.
