The family announces the passing of Virginia Bernadette (Zawrotny) Goven of Green Tree, Pennsylvania on September 20, 2026. She was predeceased by: her husband Joseph C. Goven; her daughter Cheryl V. Goven; and her siblings, Raymond Zawrotny, Sabina Rebel, Bernice Buertner, Dorothy Elwood and Walter Zawrotny.
She is survived by: her daughters, Kristina M. Alicea (Steven) and Deborah A. Dell (Christopher); her grandchildren, Kayla Dell, Nick Dell, Shelby Toney (Leland), Megan Freund (Scott), Deanna Fluharty (Philip), Joseph Zupcic (Shaylyn) and Elizabeth Zaney (Raymond); her great grandchildren, Sawyer, Philip (Amanda), Colby, Sariah, Matthew and Raymond; and her great great grandchildren, Addison, Finley, Philip Joseph, Kayja and Daniella. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 22nd 2026 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Freyvogel Slater Funeral Directors (112 Fort Couch Rd, Pittsburgh, PA 15241). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Wednesday, September 23rd 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Resurrection Parish (126 Fort Couch Rd, Pittsburgh, PA 15241).
