She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Strickler and Cecile Strickler (Sheets); her husband Arville Shank; her son Rodney Shank; her sister Margaret Hall; her grandsons, Travis and Caleb Shank; and her children-in-law, Vernon Siers and Sandra Shank.
She is survived by: her children, Alison Siers, Julia Smith (Paul), Elizabeth Fink and Richard Shank (Carol); her foster daughter Cindy Nesselrodt; and her granddaughter Shannon Faith (Timothy). She is also survived by thirteen grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren, as well as nieces, nephews, and friends.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Emmanuel Chapel (21815 Auburn Dr, Smithsburg, MD 21783).
