With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Susan E. (Ebersole) McCardell of Greencastle, Pennsylvania, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 7, 2025 at the age of 96. She was predeceased by: her parents, Daniel Ebersole and Jane Ebersole (Wilson); her husband William M. McCardell, Sr.; and her son William McCardell, Jr.. She is survived by: her children, Mary Jane Snider (Ronald) of Mercersburg, PA, Dennis McCardell (Kathy) of Greencastle, PA, Robert McCardell (Linda) of Mercersburg, PA, Karen Stansbury (Mark) of Carlisle, PA and Rodger Naugle (Pam) of Chambersburg, PA; and her sister Pat Collins of Waynesboro. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren.
