He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph A. Gardner and Elsie Linhart Gardner; his wife Jane Cottom Gardner; and his sister Dayle Gardner. He is survived by: his children, Jon W. Gardner (Susan) and Jennifer L. Reed (William); his grandchildren, Jon Christopher Gardner (Alayna), Rebecca Susan Gardner and Emily Jane Reed; and his pet Hope.
