He was predeceased by: his parents, John A. Vertosick and Josephine Vertosick (Baluch); and his siblings, John Vertosick, Lori Vertosick and Karen Powell.

He is survived by: his wife Linda Vertosick (Lawrence); his children, Penny Bittner (Mark) of Greensburg, Melissa Harry (James) of Colorado and Jeffrey Vertosick (Ann) of Ohio; his grandchildren, Josh, Jenna, Amelia, Dylan and Sophia; and his siblings, Kathy McClain (Fritz), Ronald Vertosick, Joseph Vertosick (Stella), Elayne Dolny (Ron) and Joni Yingling (Mark). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
