He was predeceased by: his parents, William W. Wengert Sr. and Laura Marsh Wengert; his wife Phyllis Habitat Wengert; his sister Mary Hays; and his brothers-in-law, George Hays and William Feely.
He is survived by: his sister Barbara Wengert; his sister-in-law Barbara Feely; his son William W. Wengert III (Alecia) of Islamorada, Fla.; his nieces, Susan Kucenic (Michael) of Lansdale and Mary Beth Miller (Scott) of Greensburg; and his grandchildren, Matthew (Karlye), Josh, Leah Kucenic, Adam Miller, Michael and Julia Bilik.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to The Westmoreland County Blind Association.
