He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Redfoot and Viola Redfoot (Frits); and his sister-in-law Judy Redfoot. He is survived by: his wife Theresa "Tess" Redfoot (Daniello); his children, Barb Reed (John), Ed Redfoot, Robert Redfoot (Jill), Bryan Redfoot (Kelley) and Dan Redfoot (April); his grandchildren, Jullie Johnson, Johnny Reed Jr., Jennifer, Amanda, Zander, Logan, Rachel, Cole and Reagan Redfoot; his great grandchild Henry Reed; and his brother Larry Redfoot.
He was a member of FOP Lodge 88, Transfer Sportsman Club, NRA, Mason Lodge, New Castle Consistory which he was a 32rd Degree Mason, Sigel Sportsman Club, Heath Township Sportsman Club, and Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation.
