She was predeceased by: her parents, Guy Mitchell and Eleanor Mitchell (Ray); her husband Dallas M. Chess; her son Dennis M. Chess; and her siblings, Richard Mitchell, Robert Mitchell and Virginia M. Sherbondy.
She is survived by: her children, Douglas S. Chess (Marla), Hadley, Daniel L. Chess (Amy), Butler, Deborah K. Helstern (Larry) and Deana L. Sweigard (Joseph); her daughter-in-law Sarah L. Chess; her siblings, Cynthia Olon (Randy) and William Mitchell (Stephanie) of Bourbonnais, IL.; and her grandchildren, Derek J. Chess, Amanda R. Huynh (Francis), Nathan Chess (Kotie), Conner, Elyse Chess, Evan Chess, Angela Mae Wagerman (Samuel), Zachary Helstern, Aleigha Sweigard, Madison Sweigard and Suzannah Chess.
