He is survived by: his wife Regina Charles (Bechtel); his daughter Jaclyn "Jackie" Smith (Jay) of Greenville; his grandson Jackson Eckley of Greenville; his siblings, James E. Charles (Bonnie) of Sharon, Joanne DiSalvo of Greenville and Jeanette McGranahan (Dennis) of Greenville; and his pet Kai. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
