He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph W. Berringer and Beatrice Marie Berringer (Sisney); his wife Ruth E. Lovett; his granddaughter Courtney Berringer Lehner; and his siblings, Ann Pyle and James "Jack" Berringer.
He is survived by: his children, Joseph S. Berringer, Jr. (Patsy), Scott R. Berringer and Beatrice Womer (Brandon). He is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren.
