He was predeceased by: his parents, William John II and Sarah Jane Schmidt (McWhinney); and his wife Marilyn E. Schmidt. He is survived by: his children, Katrina L. Schmidt and Eric W. Schmidt (Paula); and his sisters, Sarah Irwin and Olive Tritinger. He is also survived by Three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
