He was predeceased by: his parents, James Townsend and Jean Townsend (Lamborn); and his sister Nancy Dougherty. He is survived by: his wife Christine Townsend (Granger); his son Peter Townsend (Tina) of Collegeville, PA; his grandsons, Peter Townsend, Jr. and Zachary Townsend; and his siblings, Annie Ewing, Kathy Connors, Debbie Wein, Shirley Comins and Ed Florian.
