He was predeceased by: his wives, Marcia H. Beekman Ovens and Elizabeth Hubbard-Ovens; his parents, Margretta Ovens, (Burr) and John D. Ovens, Sr.; and his sister Jean.
He is survived by: his daughters, Elizabeth O. Kemble (John) of Wakefield, RI and Margaret G. Ovens of Hatfield; his grandsons, Robert Lemery (Candace) and Jeffrey Lemery; his great grandchildren, Lucas Lemery and Parker Lemery; and his nephews, Boude Storey and James Storey.
