David L. Warfel Obituary

With solemn reverence, we commemorate David L. Warfel of Halifax, Pennsylvania, born in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, whose life came to an end on May 29, 2025 at the age of 57, leaving behind cherished memories. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

Though David may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those David touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.

He was predeceased by: his father Wesley Lee Warfel. He is survived by: his mother Nancy J. Fetterhoff Warfel. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and countless friends.

Visitation will be held on Friday, June 6th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Halifax High School (3940 Peters Mountain Rd, Halifax, PA 17032). A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 6th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Friday, June 6th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM at the Riverview Memorial Gardens (3776 Peters Mountain Rd, Halifax, PA 17032).

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in Dave's name to the Carsonville Fire Company, 2990 Powells Valley Rd., Halifax, Pa. 17032.

“My sincere sympathy to you, Nancy. It is always hard to lose a loved one and especially your Son. I always enjoyed working with David . Not only was he a good friend, but an excellent firefighter. We shared many hours together during training; fund raising; calls and disasters. I was so proud of David for following his love for fire fighting and forestry. My God be with the both of you, and until we meet again.”
