With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Karen Miller Newman of Halifax, Pennsylvania, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 22, 2026 at the age of 69. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Edna H. Baker and Franklin H. Miller; her parents-in-law, Harry and Thelma Newman; and her brother-in-law Lani Halpin.
She is survived by: her husband Warren Newman; her children, Eli Newman (Ileana) and Moriah Berringer (Matthew); her granddaughter Caroline; her stepfather Elmer "Bob" Baker, Jr.; her siblings, Sarah Smart (Bill), Jeffrey Miller (Shelby), Ellen Miller-Caron (Mark) and Alice Halpin; and her brother-in-law Harry Newman (Susan).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Karen Lee's honor to the Ned Smith Center, the Perry County Council of the Arts, the Perry Historians, or the Perry County Literacy Council.
