With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Carol E. VanHorn of Hallstead, Pennsylvania, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 31, 2025 at the age of 77. She was predeceased by: her husband David E. VanHorn; her grandson Clifford E. Shaver; her parents, Clarence E. Pierce and Lena Hartford; and her siblings, Harold Pierce, David Capozzi and Betty Morrell.
She is survived by: her children, David VanHorn, Betty Jo VanHorn, Tracy Briggs, Billie Jo VanHorn and Bobbie Jo Herbert (Jeff); and her siblings, Clara Sterling, Millie Hawk (Elmer), Marilyn Johnston and Clarence E. Pierce Jr.. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren, several great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 8th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Osterhoudt-Madden Funeral Home (69 Maple St, Harpursville, NY 13787). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, June 8th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
