He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth Colwell and Ruth Colwell and his stepmother Marcella Colwell; his wife Shelby J. Colwell; his son Mark Colwell; and his siblings, Joyce Valentine (Jim) and Willard Colwell.
He is survived by: his children, Dennis Colwell (Marty), Denise Everett (Rick), David Colwell (Kevin), Michael Colwell (Donna) and Margie French (Larry); his daughter-in-law Lisa Colwell; his grandchildren, Desmond, Kristy VanDeWeert (Dan), Kelly Clark (Jeff), Paul Everett (Lisa), Leyna Colwell (Louis), Erica Ginther (Andrew), Tricia Colwell, Robert Colwell, Tracy Colwell (Josh), Austin French (Emily) and Corbin French; his siblings, Edward Colwell (Dorthea), Paul Colwell, Harold Colwell (Lorraine), Eugene Colwell, Esther Frantz and Debbie Wood (Robert); and his sister-in-law Mina Smallacombe. He is also survived by 9 great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews.
