He was predeceased by: his parents, Franklin William Shultz and Emma Irene Shultz (Helwig); his stepmother Fanny Shultz; and his siblings, Elenora Crawford, Delores Nuss, Elizabeth Frank, Ruth Wolfe and Judy Lutz.
He is survived by: his wife Janet R. Shultz (Heberlig); his daughter Susan Rinehold (Michael); his grandsons, Nicholas Ridgley (Natasha) and Troy Ridgley; his siblings, Margaret Koons, Carrie "Jean" Longenberger, Mabel Shultz, Wayne Shultz and Charles Shultz; and his brother-in-law Frank Heberlig. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
