He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilbur J. Redding and Estella R. Redding (Keller); and his siblings, Emma Tawney, Estella Wagaman, Wilbur Redding and Rose Redding.

He is survived by: his wife Eleanor "Ellie" J. (Meckley); his children, Terrence Redding (Tina) of Spring Grove, PA, Diane Myers of Hanover, PA, Karen Sanders of Hanover, PA, Vincent Redding (MaryBeth) of Fairfax, VT and Amy Smith (Allen) of Hanover, PA; and his siblings, Catherine Dietz, Jane Knott (Nate), Theresa Finkenbinder (Dewaine), Linda Gurtler (Don), Mary Hankey and Gerald Redding (Valerie). He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.
