Derek Andrew Smith, born on June 4, 1998, passed away on September 27, 2026. Derek leaves behind family members and others who acknowledge this loss. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Derek leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. Derek’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around him. Though he is no longer with us, the moments shared, the laughter, and the support he offered will continue to resonate. All who knew Derek will carry forward his memory in their hearts.
He was predeceased by: his father Andrew G. Smith; and his grandparents, Joseph, Patricia Kebil and Frank Reichart. He is survived by: his mother Joanie L. Kebil-Smith; his sister Ali M. Vizzard (Thomas); and his grandparents, Thomas, Joyce Smith and Prudence Reichart. He is also survived by numerous loving aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 5th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the St. Joseph Catholic Church (5125 Grandview Rd, Hanover, PA 17331). A funeral Mass will be held on Monday, October 5th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
At the request of the Smith Family, kindly omit flowers.
