She was predeceased by: her parents, John C. Barnhart and Rena E. Barnhart (Bechtel); her spouse Emory C. Shearer, Jr.; and her siblings, Ruth E. Grove, Burnell C. Barnhart, Cletus L. Barnhart, John J. Barnhart and George H. Barnhart.

She is survived by: her brothers, Nevin L. Barnhart of Gettysburg, PA and Earl R. Barnhart of McSherrystown, PA. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
