He was predeceased by: his parents, Benjamin Franklin McDaniel and Cora Ann McDaniel (Hite); his wife Mary Joan McDaniel; and his siblings, Grace Rogers, Conard, Floyd, Parron, Clemente and Clyde McDaniel.
He is survived by: his children, Carla D. Kelican (Earl) of New Oxford, PA. and Herbert G. McDaniel, Jr. (Kimberly) of Ranson; his grandchildren, Brandy Kelican, Erik Kelican (Cyndi) and Hailey McDaniel; his great grandchildren, Tyler Kelican, Owen Kelican, Cayden McDaniel, Bryce Burns, Braxton Burns and Blaison Burns; and his brother Wayne McDaniel of Gerrardstown. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
