He was predeceased by: his parents, James Howard and Ada Howard (Lego); his wife Shirley Jeanette Howard; and his children, James Howard, Carla Bopst and Roberta McLain.
He is survived by: his sons, G. Michael Howard (Jeannette) of Hanover and Craig Howard (Tracy) of York; and his son-in-law Louis Bopst of Eldersburg, MD. He is also survived by ten grandchildren; and 13 great grandchildren.
