He was predeceased by: his parents, Antonios Plakas and Evangelia Plakas (Mallios); and his brother Kosta Plakas. He is survived by: his wife Celia (Spanos); his children, Angie Barakos (George) of Stroudsburg, PA, Tessie Mallios (George) of Mechanicsburg, PA and Antonios Plakas (Shantel) of Hanover, PA; his grandchildren, Yianni Barakos (Nicole), Xeni Yoder (Ben), Vasiliki Berkman (Kylor), James Mallios (Jessica), Kia Mallios, William Mallios, Dimitri Plakas (Petra), Nicholas Plakas, Alexios Plakas, Dru Harlacher and Owen Harlacher; and his brother George Plakas. He is also survived by seven great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church (2500 Pine Grove Rd, York, PA 17403). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
