He was predeceased by: his parents, Augustus E. Strausbaugh and Rose A. Strausbaugh (Weaver); his siblings, Claude Strausbaugh, Robert Strausbaugh, Anna Stambaugh, Pauline Wildasin, Marguerite Roberts, Florence Weaver and Rosie Hershey; and his daughter-in-law Amy Strausbaugh.
He is survived by: his wife Darlene F. Strausbaugh (Cromer); his children, Jolene Shrader (Donald), Sheryl Wagner (Tony), Denise Neiderer (Ben), Faye Bealing (Jim) and Joe Strausbaugh (Karen Tregoning); and his grandchildren, Daryl, Dustin, Tony Jr., Todd, Matthew, James, Nicole and Christopher. He is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.
In lieu of flowers, a donation in Joseph's memory to the Sacred Heart Basilica Restoration Fund, 30 Basilica Drive, Hanover, PA 17331 would be appreciated.
