Joseph Scianna Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joseph Scianna of Hanover, Pennsylvania, born in Reading, Pennsylvania, who passed away on October 17, 2025, at the age of 67, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid Joseph farewell, let us not mourn the absence of his physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of his spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Joseph is not truly gone, but merely transformed, his energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Nicholas L. Scianna, Sr. and Marie Teresa Scianna (DeAngelis); and his brother Nicholas Lewis Scianna, Jr.. He is survived by: his siblings, Sandra M. Mauger of Reading, Anthony Scianna (Mary) of Exeter Township and Dennis Scianna (Deb) of Exeter Township; and his friend Ruth Zerbe. He is also survived by many loving extended family members and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 24th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Wetzel Funeral Home & Crematory (549 Carlisle St, Hanover, PA 17331). A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 24th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Rest Haven Cemetery (310-338 Westminster Rd, Hanover, PA 17331).
