She was predeceased by: her parents, George M. Backert, Jr. and Amelia Backert (Litzau); her brother George M. Backert, III (Erika Backert); Donald Benford. She is survived by: her husband Harlyn "Wayne" Bruck; her daughter Sharon Benford; her granddaughters, Danielle (David Christopher) and Erika (Mike Howington); her stepgrandsons, Brian Benford (Christina) and Bradley Benford; her niece Joan Backert (Jens); her great-niece Sarah (Patrick); her nephew George "Thomas" Backert (Yvonne); and her great-nephews, Timothy and Cedric. She is also survived by eleven great grandchildren. And also her family.
She was a homemaker, and very devoted to him, even after he contracted Alzheimer's some years before her death.
