He was predeceased by: his parents, William Henry Smith, Jr. and Lillian Laverne Evans Smith. He is survived by: his wife Carol Lee Whitfield Smith; his children, Wendy Lee Smith-Chin (Alan) of Catonsville, MD and Robert Eugene Smith, Jr. (Melissa) of East Stroudsburg, PA; his grandchildren, Tiffany, Matthew Chin, Colby, Luke, Cheyenne Smith, Andie and Allie Gambrel; and his siblings, William David Smith, Faye Amber Kuhlman and Yvonne Suzanne Dunnivan. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
