He was predeceased by: his father William W. Ames III; his brothers-in-law, Stephan Stranick and Jeffrey Stranick; and his niece Kaitlin Stranick. He is survived by: his mother Anna L. Ames (Specchio); his wife Johnna Lee Ames (Stranick); his sons, Nicholas Ames and Joseph Ames; his siblings, Jerome Ames (Diane), Timothy Ames, Mary Ames and Michael Ames (Sandy); his parents-in-law, Janice and Stephen Stranick; his sisters-in-law, Margaret Zinn (David), Jennifer Stranick and Lynne Stranick; his nieces and nephews, Jana Z. Bonds (Eric), Lara Z. Dye (Tyler), Isabella Stranick, Sophia Stranick, Stephan Stranick, Nathan Gerhart, Benjamin Gerhart, Michael Ames, Tyler Ames, Sundine Robert and Gary Roberts; and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Harrison, Elin, William Bonds and Carter Ames.
