He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Werner and Anna Ellis Werner. He is survived by: his wife Nancy Enders Werner; his children, Kirk (Wendy) and Gaye Werner; his brother John Werner of State College; his grandchildren, Sara D'Emilio (Edward) of Baden, PA, Amanda and Michael Werner of Wattsburg; and his great grandchildren, Jack and Sophie D'Emilio.
