He was predeceased by: his parents, Manuel Canales and Claudia Canales (Campbell); his wife Ruth Ann Canales (Maynard); his siblings, Alton Lyons, Agnes Lyons Henderson, Leon Lyons, Anna Lyons and Edward Lyons; and his granddaughter Holly.
He is survived by: his children, Paul Canales (Julie) of Millcreek, Brian Canales (Isabel) of Osyka, Mississippi and Laura McIntire (Brad) of Harborcreek; his brother Manuel Canales; his grandchildren, Michael, Brooke, Rachel, Alex, Gavin, Orion, Mary and Sirius; and his great grandchildren, Tucker, Nova, Vayda and Marlowe. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
