With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Dorothy S. Ruth of Harleysville, Pennsylvania, born in Drexel Hill, Pennsylvania, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 5, 2025 at the age of 94. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Robert R. Ruth; her mother Margaret Lewis Fogerty; her stepchildren, Sharon Kershner (Daryl), Brian Ruth (late Robin) and Kevin Ruth (late Melissa); her sons, Stephen and Paul Stranix; and her former husband James Stranix, Sr..
She is survived by: her children, Margaret Hunsicker Fleischer (Steve), Mary Kay Posselli (Jim) and James Stranix, Jr. (Judith Prescott); and her grandchildren, Sean Hunsicker (Lauren), Jennifer Stranix, James Posselli and Andrew Posselli (Tina). She is also survived by four step-grandchildren and five step-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 12th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM at the Peter Becker Community Chapel (800 Maple Ave, Harleysville, PA 19438). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 12th 2025 at 12:30 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Manna on Main Street, in Lansdale.
