He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Doyle and Madeline Doyle; and his siblings, Madeline, Dolores, Virginia, Thomas and John.

He is survived by: his wife Elaine J. Doyle; his children, Joseph W. (Margie), Merry Christie, Walt (Susan), Laney Alexander (Paul), Tom (Deb) and Pat (Tarah); and his brothers, Jim and Dennis. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 45 great-grandchildren.
