He was predeceased by: his parents, Percy Lee Ricks Sr. and Louise "Penny" Lawson; his son Marlon Ricks; and his siblings, Margaret H. Burts, Norman Ricks, Johnnie Lee Ricks, Anthony Lebron Ricks and David Earl Ricks.
He is survived by: his wife Florence Abdullah; his children, Francine Burts (Christopher), Percena Anderson (Malik), Terry Martin (Kristin), Penny Smith (David), Al-Kareem Rafiel Abdullah, Jamila Abdullah, Jameel Abdullah (Rosa), Michaela Burrell and Kamillah Abdullah; and his siblings, George Ricks (Maria) and Regina Edwards (Michael). He is also survived by seventeen grandchildren; and a host of nephews, nieces, godchildren, extended family members, church family, and friends.
