He was predeceased by : his parents, Walter E., Sr. and Anna Loy (Mumma). He is survived by : his siblings, Annamarie Schmidt and Walter Loy, Jr.; his wife Susan L. Loy (Lazorjack); his sons, Andrew Loy of Harrisburg and Nicholas Loy (Aida) of Temple, Texas; his siblings, Amalie Gingrich, Sandy Summy (Howard) and Kevin Loy (Susan); and his grandchildren, Adrianna Loy and Adam Loy.

Viewing was held on Tuesday, April 16th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Wednesday, April 17th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Ascension Evangelical Lutheran Church (4768 Union Deposit Rd, Harrisburg, PA 17111). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, April 17th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
