He is survived by: his children, Brian Jackson of California and Angela Jackson of Atlanta; his sisters, Myrtice Davenport, Wanda Lou Jackson (Moses), Brenda Turner and Helen Kelly (John) of Winston Salem; his aunt Alma Sherrod of Washington, DC; his sister-in-law Essie Dodd (Friend) of Harrisburg; his brother Phil Overton; and his friend Freya Sponseller. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
