With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Laura Jackson in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 11, 2025. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, LeRoy L. Johnson and Fannie Johnson; her siblings, James, Grace Johnson and Estoria Black; her children, Patricia "Tish" Winters and Ralph "Butch" L. Payne, Jr.; and her great grandchild Miles Johnson.
She is survived by: her children, Yvonne Matthews, Leroy Johnson II, Frances Lawson and James Crummel; and her friend Patricia Winters. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, several great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and a host of relatives.
Unfortunately, because of the influenza pandemic (also known as the Spanish flu), their younger sister Grace Mary would not live to see her first birthday.
