He was predeceased by: his parents, Mickey Dukes and Lela B. Hollingsworth; his siblings, Donnie Dukes, Pauline and Paulette Dukes; and his grandson DeSean Wallace.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Sue "Soja" Dukes; his son Christopher Maurice Welch Sr.; his grandchildren, Jassmone, Asya, Mya Epps, Christopher Welch Jr. (CJ), Dareian Young, Dawnyae, Andre Hilliard, Chanel Shaw and Antoine McLamb; his great grandchild JaDari Hilliard; his siblings, Eula Dukes-Blizzard (Richard) and Jeffrey Donald (Dorothy); his goddaughter Angel Fox; and his sisters-in-law, Jean Wilson, Betty Fox and Rose Johnson. He is also survived by many loving extended family members, dear friends and former co-workers.
Viewing will be held on Thursday, July 31st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Wallace Funeral Directors Inc. (106 Agnes St, Harrisburg, PA 17104). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 31st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
